MEET THE BAND
Jenni White - Lead and Backing Vocals
Jenni is a founding member of SpinCycle, along with Dave Seaman and John Mumper, when the band formed in 2006. Coming from a musically & artistically talented family, she certainly inherited all the right genes; this happened to pair up nicely with the strong influence of her father, Richard White. Jenni sang lead and harmony with the Rumur Band, a long-standing cornerstone of the South Hills music scene, performing classic rock, R&B and AOR favorites. As a member of The Whites, she has performed for church, wedding and park events as well as an occasional coffee shop and ice creamery opening.
Jenni is also proud to be the mother of her daughter, Natalie, and currently resides in the West Hills.
Jon Daniels - Lead and Backing Vocals
Jon has been performing in bands since 1979, along with his brother Howie, including Proton, The Bridge, Asbury Daze and Acoustic Daze. He was thrilled to join SpinCycle in 2015, as their full-time vocalist, after working on other musical projects with a few of the band’s original members. Jon's biggest musical influences include Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, The Dead and The Band. Jon sings with style and passion and aims to please the crowd.
Dave Seaman - Keyboards and Backing Vocals
Dave is a founding member of SpinCycle since the band formed in 2006. His former bands include Starfire, Galaxy and Doctor Jack & The Interns. In his junior year of college, Dave and friends formed the Nimrods, an original band featuring a quirky mix of power pop, punk, prog rock and humor. Short stints with Metro, The Racket and The Drones continued, until Dave joined the Rumur Band in 1983, playing the Pittsburgh top-forty club circuit for the next 13 years.
Other notable projects include co-chairing Blue Moon Bash parties and Hungry Hearts - Bruce Springsteen tribute shows, benefitting local charities. In 2018, Dave was keyboardist for American Idol finalist and up-and-coming country star, Gabby Barrett, playing shows at Rivers Casino (filmed for the American Idol TV show) and the Coyote Cowboy club, along with a headlining spot during Pittsburgh’s Independence Day celebration concert.
Dave has been writing his own music, as long as he’s been playing, and his original songs have been enhanced by the creative talents of SpinCycle’s band members. Influences are varied and include The Beatles, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, The Kinks, David Bowie, XTC, Fountains of Wayne, Crowded House, Raspberries, Queen, Yes, Todd Rundgren, Elvis Costello, Brian Wilson, NRBQ, Bacharach and David, Motown, Philly Soul, Brill Building, Power Pop, Garage/Psych and the late 70s/80s New Wave scene.
Dave lives in Zelienople with wife Chris, daughter Carly and pets Buddy and Bubbles.
Steve Castelli - Lead/Rhythm Guitar and Backing Vocals
Steve’s been playing in the Pittsburgh area, in various rock and private occasion bands, for over 30 years. His previous bands include Sneak Preview, Back Talk, Rumur Band, Park Avenue, Flex, After Dark, Grand Ave Band and Lynchburg Hollow. Steve’s musical influences include Frank Zappa, Steely Dan, Allman Brothers Band, Larry Carlton, Al DiMeola, The Who, Adrian Belew, U2, Richard Thompson and many others. However, Steve thoroughly enjoys entertaining fans with all styles of music.
Musical highlights include talking to the legendary Les Paul over the phone about a Gibson Les Paul Recording guitar, in the late 70's, and later meeting him in person in 1985. In addition, SpinCycle performs original music and Steve has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and creativity in contributing to the writing efforts. A SpinCycle performance of his original song, Wine-Oh-Wine, was featured on an episode of the YouTube show, Musicians With Guitars Drinking Wine.
Steve is married to his awesome wife, Liz, and has two children and three grandchildren.
John Mumper - Rhythm/Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals
John is a founding member of SpinCycle since the band formed in 2006. From performing with a variety of rock/jazz/wedding bands, to working in the pit for local theater companies, to operating a small project recording studio, John’s musical history is rather eclectic. Although his current axe is guitar, he spent the early 80s, in the local Pittsburgh bands the Whereabouts and 96 Tears as a drummer. He was also a founding member and music director for the improvisation comedy group The Lemming Project. John's musical influences include Led Zeppelin, The Who, David Bowie, late 70s/80s new wave and he enjoys all things Fender®.
